Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in hospice medical billing and AR work
• Proficient in using FireNote software (required)
• Familiar with U.S. healthcare RCM processes, especially Medicare billing for hospice services
• Strong knowledge of payer guidelines, CPT/HCPCS codes, and denial management
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, with reliable internet and a secure workspace
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end hospice billing processes, including charge entry, claims submission, payment posting, and patient account reconciliation
• Utilize FireNote software for accurate billing, documentation tracking, and claim management
• Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable, including denied, unpaid, or underpaid claims
• Coordinate with U.S.-based hospice teams for clarifications, documentation needs, and timely billing updates
• Review payer remittances (EOBs and ERAs), analyze discrepancies, and initiate appeals or corrections as needed
• Ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid hospice billing regulations and payer-specific guidelines
• Maintain accurate documentation and meet all HIPAA and RCM standards
