Summary

Join RYZ Labs as a Medical Coding Auditor to play a crucial role in optimizing a leading healthcare AI software company's flagship Medical Coding AI product. Initially, you will conduct quality assurance audits of the AI's coding output and collaborate with product and data teams. After six months, you will transition to a customer-facing role, advising healthcare clinics on best practices for integrating and optimizing the AI solution. This involves leveraging your medical coding expertise to guide clinics, ensure smooth implementation, and build strong client relationships. You will work remotely as part of a distributed team, contributing to a dynamic and growing startup environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of medical coding experience
  • 2+ years of medical code auditing experience
  • AAPC Certifications: CPC, CPMA, and CRC
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments in a remote team environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive QA Audits and review AI-generated medical codes for accuracy, compliance, and consistency with current regulations (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and payer guidelines
  • Collaborate with product teams and provide detailed feedback and recommendations to developers and data scientists, helping refine the AI’s logic and improve coding outcomes
  • Optimize coding processes to maximize customer revenue
  • Identify trends, errors, or gaps in AI-generated codes and develop strategies to enhance overall coding workflows, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Transition into a customer-facing Customer Success role, onboarding and training healthcare clinics on the proper usage of our AI solution, addressing their concerns, and customizing workflows to fit their operational needs
  • Build and maintain client relationships and act as the main point of contact for clinic staff, ensuring high satisfaction, resolving coding-related questions, and identifying opportunities for expansion or new features
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Support, Product, and Leadership) to share customer feedback, recommend product enhancements, and align on strategic objectives
  • Stay current with industry standards and monitor changes in coding regulations and industry best practices, relaying insights to both internal teams and customers
  • Actively participate in video calls, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex ideas effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred experience working with several RCM and EHR systems
  • AAPC Certification: CPC-I
