Medical SAS Programmer

Summary

Join Precision for Medicine as a SAS Programmer to combine your advanced programming skills with clinical scientist and data manager expertise. Develop and maintain SAS programming to support the review of clinical data, including routine safety and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced SAS programming skills to clean and unclean clinical data in multiple formats (e.g., application of oncology disease assessment criteria, CTCAE criteria, etc.)
• Develop complex proprietary patient profiles designed to facilitate efficient holistic data review & centralized monitoring, aggregate data review workbooks, metrics, projections, graphs and other data visualizations
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of programming standards to ensure efficiency and consistency across projects
• Run SAS programs and provide outputs at study defined frequencies to internal and external team members/study drives
• Support the conduct of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) / validation of programmed outputs
• Support the maintenance of a central SAS macro library
• Responsible to support the development/maintenance of standard tools for use across the programming function
• Collaborate with internal functional leads to achieve study objectives
• Support Leads to ensure the study budget applicable to programming remains within scope and that any out-of-scope activities are identified
• Participate as needed in internal and external study-specific team meetings
• May serve as the function subject matter expert (SME) defining and supporting departmental initiatives, departmental best practices, providing technical support and training of more junior programmers, project challenges, etc
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
