Summary
Join Tempus as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Manager and lead a team dedicated to advancing precision medicine. You will provide strategic direction, manage MSL team members, and ensure robust stakeholder engagement plans. Responsibilities include developing and executing engagement strategies with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals, overseeing scientific presentations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This role demands a deep understanding of oncology, molecular biology, and the healthcare landscape, along with proven leadership and communication skills. Requirements
- Possess an advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, or DNP) in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., oncology, molecular biology, genetics)
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison or other relevant medical role
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of oncology, molecular biology, and the healthcare landscape
- Possess solid tumor oncology therapeutic knowledge or expertise
- Exhibit excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Have a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with KOLs and other stakeholders
- Possess strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Have working knowledge of genomic laboratory-developed testing (LDT) and familiarity with CLIA-88β, CAP guidelines
- Have working knowledge in vitro diagnostic (IVD) regulatory guidelines from the FDA (21 CFR Part 809, CFR Part 820, 21 CFR Part 807, 21 CFR Part 812, 21 CFR Part 814) and Sunshine Act (2013)
- Be able to travel (up to 50%)
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of MSLs to ensure effective communication and collaboration with healthcare professionals and KOLs
- Develop and implement strategic plans to support the dissemination of scientific information and data related to Tempusβ products and services
- Establish and maintain relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to support clinical and scientific objectives
- Oversee the development and delivery of scientific presentations, publications, and other educational materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, marketing, and sales, to support product launches and other initiatives
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive intelligence, and scientific advancements to inform strategic planning
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements in the dissemination of scientific information
- Represent Tempus at scientific conferences, meetings, and other events
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience in precision medicine or personalized healthcare
- Be familiar with data analytics and artificial intelligence in healthcare
- Have prior people management experience
