Mental Health Therapist

Summary

Join Octave, a modern behavioral health practice, as a Licensed Clinician to provide high-quality behavioral health care. You will join a diverse team offering therapy in a collaborative, client-centered environment, utilizing evidence-based therapies such as CBT and DBT. The role involves treating adult clients with various mental health concerns via video and in-person sessions. You will build a caseload offering both virtual and in-person options, requiring your own commercial clinical space for in-person appointments. Candidates must be licensed in New York (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, LMHC, PsyD), possess at least one year of post-license clinical experience, and be proficient in culturally responsive care. Octave values empathy, tackling challenging problems, and collaboration.

Requirements

• LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, LMHC, PsyD
• Current License and located in New York
• Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited school of Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Marriage, or Family and Child Counseling
• Must be licensed and in good standing with your governing licensing board
• At least 1 year of related post-license clinical experience required
• Required to have your own office space in the Albany area and are willing to provide in-person services

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality behavioral health care to clients
• Treat adult clients with stress, depression, anxiety, or other mental health concerns via video, using short-term, evidence-based therapies
• Build and maintain a strong therapeutic alliance with clients
• Deliver feedback-informed care using standardized measures
• Provide culturally responsive and culturally competent care
• Be open to learning from colleagues and clients
• Thrive in a culture of thoughtful feedback and transparency

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: CBT for depression or anxiety
• DBT for emotion dysregulation
• Unified Protocol for emotional distress
• CPT or PE for trauma

Benefits

• $113-$133/hour for master's level license
• $113-$143/hour for doctoral level license
• $110-$130 for master's level license
• $110-$140 for doctoral level license
