Requirements

  • Experience - Minimum of 5 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on the technology sector
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus
  • Technical Knowledge - Strong understanding of technology platforms and financial firms, including market dynamics and competitive landscape
  • Analytical Skills - Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence processes
  • Communication - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively
  • Interpersonal Skills - Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Detail-Oriented - High attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work
  • Adaptability - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Identify Acquisition Targets - Conduct thorough market research to identify potential technology platforms and financial firms that align with the company's strategic objectives
  • Financial Analysis - Perform detailed financial analysis and due diligence to assess the viability and potential value of acquisition targets
  • Strategic Outreach - Initiate and manage contact with target companies, engaging with their leadership to explore acquisition opportunities
  • Collaboration - Work closely with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of acquired companies
  • Market Intelligence - Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform acquisition strategy
  • Reporting - Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights and recommendations on potential acquisitions
