Remote Services/Microservices Integration Engineer

Requirements

• US Citizen
• DHS 6C (Public Trust)
• Bachelor's degree or beyond; a computer science background is recommended but not required if suitable experience can be demonstrated

Responsibilities

• Leverage your experience over the last 8-10 years with requirements gathering, design, implementation, and testing software or systems development using: Java
• Apache Camel for Enterprise Integration Patterns
• XML/XSLT/XPATH
• JSON and JSON format mediation techniques
• Active MQ and/or Websphere MQ (Websphere MQ being phased out). Kafka is desirable as well
• LINUX (RHEL preferred), shell scripting
• AWS Cloud for back end infrastructure
• Relational database knowledge in Oracle or Postgres, SQL
• SpringBoot
• Microservices (REST/SOAP/GraphQL)
• Service Authentication and Encryption protocols such as SSL and PKI
• Containerization, DevSecOps tools and techniques (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Vault)
• Collaborate with team members and clients to iteratively develop, validate, and operate software at scale using Agile techniques
• Use your experience designing and developing scalable, high-performance, and highly available applications and systems components
• Diagnose complex system issues and work with teammates, project stakeholders, and organization partners to resolve problems
• Demonstrate your excellent communication, facilitation, and mediation skills by working directly with our clients, team members, and other development teams
• Use your experience in responding to client requirements in tight timeframes, government or otherwise – this entails flexibility in both work location (work from home but may need to meet ad hoc with the client with little notice) and hours (occasional off-hours on-call shifts)
