Summary

Join our team at Bounteous x Accolite as a hybrid role based in Montreal, Quebec. As an experienced Power Apps and Power Automate developer, you will analyze, reverse engineer, and document existing functionalities, collaborate with stakeholders, and develop scripts and applications to support the functionality of Power Platform solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Power Apps and Power Automate (development, customization, data modeling)
  • Analytical skills and the ability to reverse engineer existing apps' functionalities
  • Strong documentation capabilities (technical writing, diagramming)
  • Production troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for time-sensitive issues
  • Experience in data analytics tools, scripting languages, or programming languages relevant to data visualization, such as Power FX, SQL, DAX, etc
  • Understanding of data warehousing and data models
  • Knowledge of migration strategies from legacy systems to modern platforms (Power Platform)
  • Experience working in Agile teams that are geographically dispersed
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn ADR (Architecture Decision Records) best practices for documenting architectural decisions
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, tools, and best practices related to data analytics, visualization, and reporting solutions
  • Familiarity with basic statistical functions
  • Familiarity with the Unix and Windows operating systems, Python, ETL concepts

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, reverse engineer, and document existing Power Apps/Automate functionalities
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their automation and reporting needs and how they are currently addressed by the legacy dashboards / manual processes
  • Identify and address production issues in a timely manner to ensure minimal disruption for end-users
  • Develop, test, and maintain scripts and applications that support the functionality of the Power Platform solutions
  • Contribute to the development of a migration strategy from legacy dashboards/apps to Power Platform by providing input on technical considerations and best practices
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and tools relevant for data analytics, visualization, and reporting solutions
  • Assist in training other team members and end-users as needed during the transition period from legacy on-premises systems to Power Platform
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Architects, and Quality Assurance specialists to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements
  • Write ADR (Architecture Decision Records) as needed when architectural decisions are made during the migration process
