Mid-level Infrastructure Engineer

Summary

Join AlphaSights, a leading global knowledge platform, as an Infrastructure Engineer. You will be responsible for planning, building, and maintaining our core AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Create solutions enabling engineering teams to deploy code quickly, reliably, and securely; ensure the availability, scalability, performance, and security of our cloud infrastructure; diagnose and troubleshoot issues; and provision cloud resources. You will work with development teams on DevOps and infrastructure initiatives, evaluate alternative solutions, and refine infrastructure and application monitoring. This remote position is exclusively for current Brazilian residents. AlphaSights values engineering skills over deep knowledge of specific tools. We seek highly driven, proactive, and meticulous individuals with a proven track record.

Requirements

• You probably have a degree in a STEM subject , but we’re happy to work with people who perfected their craft via a different route
• 2+ years experience in demonstrating competency and positive results in a DevOps, SRE or Infrastructure Engineering role
• 2+ years experience managing and demonstrating competency with AWS infrastructure , including EKS, RDS, S3, and others as well as professional experience with CI/CD tooling and concepts
• Experience working at a similar level in an Engineering team , and looking to take your career to the next level. We’re looking for people who have incredible potential
• Proven track record – You’ve made a demonstrable impact in your previous roles, standing out from your peers
• Highly driven and proactive – you relentlessly and independently push through hurdles and drive towards excellent outcomes

Responsibilities

• Create solutions that enable our engineering teams to deploy code quickly, reliably and securely
• Ensure the availability, scalability, performance and security of our cloud infrastructure
• Diagnose and troubleshoot application and infrastructure related issues quickly and effectively
• Provision cloud resources based on capacity, computing and security requirements
• Always have best security practices top of mind , employing zero trust and principle of least privilege across all critical systems and resources
• Work in tandem with development teams to manage and execute DevOps and Infrastructure initiatives
• Regularly evaluate and research alternative solutions to improve internal DevOps processes
• Continuously evaluate and refine the monitoring of our critical infrastructure and applications
