Join Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP, a leading employment litigation defense firm, as a Mid-Level to Senior Litigation Associate in our New York City office. Represent a diverse clientele, including public and private employers, in all aspects of employment litigation. Collaborate with senior litigators, draft legal documents, conduct research, and represent clients in court and before administrative agencies. This role requires 3+ years of experience in employment litigation, admission to practice in New York, and strong legal research, writing, and communication skills. The anticipated salary range is $120,000-$165,000, plus a discretionary bonus.

Requirements

  • Admission to practice in New York
  • At least 3 years of experience in employment litigation
  • Strong legal research, writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with clients and command client confidence
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with senior litigators to develop litigation strategy for the defense of employment actions
  • Draft and review pleadings and discovery, memos, briefs and other legal correspondence and litigation documents
  • Analysis of employment records
  • Represent clients in court and before administrative agencies
  • Participate in depositions, conferences, hearings, trials and all other aspects of employment litigation
  • Interact with employment experts
  • Conduct legal and employment research and analysis
  • Draft motions
  • Work cooperatively with others
  • Interact with clients
