Summary

Join our team as a Python & SQL Engineer and work 100% remotely on a long-term project for a US-based client supporting cloud transformations. The client is seeking to migrate legacy systems to Snowflake, improve data quality, and automate processes. You will be involved in data migration, optimization, and automation tasks. The project focuses on the legal industry and offers flexible working hours. The client plans to expand the team significantly.

Requirements

  • Approximately 4 years of experience as a programmer with knowledge of data and Python
  • High proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud databases (Snowflake)
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehouses
  • Understanding of performance optimization and indexing strategies
  • Good knowledge of Python and its libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Requests, etc.)
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database management
  • English at a level that allows for fluent communication in a team

Responsibilities

  • Write and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and procedures (with an emphasis on performance)
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and optimal performance of databases
  • Collaborate with programmers and analysts to ensure that database projects support application needs
  • Perform data migrations, create backups, and recover data as needed
  • Write efficient (and reusable) scripts and modules in Python
  • Create and integrate APIs for seamless communication between services
  • Perform data analysis and automation-related tasks
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize code for performance and security
  • Perform Data Ops tasks, i.e., understand systems, diagnose and solve problems

Experience with ML and script automation
