Mid/Senior AWS Cloud Engineer

Join SMG Swiss Marketplace Group's Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team as a Cloud Engineer. Drive the adoption and optimization of cloud solutions, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency. Design, implement, and manage company-wide cloud services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud technologies. Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks. Lead automation initiatives and empower business units with cloud expertise. Requirements

• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a cloud engineering role, with demonstrated capability in enterprise-level projects
• Experience in designing and implementing secure cloud environments
• Proficient in services like AWS Organizations, Control Tower, AWS CloudFormation StackSets, AWS Config and similar for managing and architecting for organizational complexity at scale
• Experience with cloud governance, cost optimization, and security maintenance in large-scale cloud environments and services like landing zones
• Deep understanding of observability and monitoring of AWS environments
• Profound knowledge of cloud architecture and operations, particularly with platforms like AWS, or Google Cloud
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, etc
• A proactive approach and a strong desire to take part in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption and optimization of cloud solutions, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency
• Design, implement, and manage company-wide services used by engineering and platform teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud technologies and foster an agile and innovative cloud culture
• Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations
• Lead initiatives to automate cloud deployments and optimize resource utilization
• Empower our business units with expertise and support for all cloud-related matters

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or similar
• Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies
• Prior involvement in a Cloud Center of Excellence or similar team
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and industry standards related to cloud computing
