Midweight Copywriter

Summary

Join Tide's Member Engagement Marketing (MEM) Copy team as a German Midweight Copywriter! Based in our UK/Europe team, you will create engaging German content for SMEs. You'll translate existing UK copy, craft compelling messaging, and collaborate with various teams. This role requires native or fluent German, strong English skills, and 2+ years of copywriting experience. Requirements

• Be native or fluent in German
• Possess strong English skills, both written and verbal
• Have excellent communication and copywriting skills
• Have been in a copy or content writing role for 2+ years
• Possess strong proofreading and editing skills
• Be passionate about problem-solving and suggesting new initiatives to improve ways of working
• Be knowledgeable about the SME sector in Germany, including industry trends and competition
• Be self-assured, driven, able to make decisions and take responsibility for them
• Have experience of working with a Style Guide or Tone of Voice guide and understand why this is important
• Have excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
• Have experience with Jira, Typeform, WordPress, Contentful or any CMS tools
• Have experience of working with a CRM team as stakeholders or colleagues

Responsibilities

• Understand what a good brief looks like and answer it with high-quality copy that drives product engagement
• Possess strong translation skills for localising existing UK copy into DE, and be able to explain your copy choices
• Bust jargon! Turn technical information into simple, compelling messaging and content
• Create creative copywriting across multiple formats, including email, mobile notifications, social media, blog posts, landing pages and more
• Be passionate about customer experience, with a focus on delivering the best, most engaging content for SMEs
• Review, amend and approve existing German content, including the work of other writers. Be a source of support and guidance for more junior writers both in the team and around the business
• Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver Tide’s overarching content strategy in Germany
• Be confident in communicating with various stakeholders to provide updates on projects
