Requirements

• South African Citizen
• Trade Test
• Based in Durban
• Some experience or internships in mechanical maintenance or related fields is preferred, but not required
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions closely
• Must be safety-conscious and adhere to all workplace safety standards

Responsibilities

• Assist senior millwrights in performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of machinery and equipment
• Support troubleshooting efforts to identify mechanical issues and implement corrective actions
• Help with preventive maintenance tasks to enhance equipment reliability and longevity
• Participate in the assembly and installation of new machinery based on technical specifications
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used
• Adhere to safety regulations and manufacturing protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Gain hands-on experience in operating various tools and safely handling mechanical components
