Summary
Join SentiLink as a Model Risk Manager and lead the development and implementation of industry-leading model risk management practices. You will be the first head of model governance, independently validating models, identifying risks, and supporting mitigation and reporting. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure model accuracy and reliability. Initially, you will function as a founding individual contributor, guiding other analysts, with opportunities for team leadership. This is a remote, US-based role offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience
- Proven experience in model governance / risk management / backtesting
- Knowledge of model governance regulatory environment (rules, best practices, etc)
- Technical bachelor's degree (any STEM)
- Python at beginner level
- Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets
- Data Visualization skills (Excel Plots / BI tools / Python)
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must live in the United States
Responsibilities
- Ensure our core models are performing as expected and up to standard via periodic audits, fair lending assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Generate routine governance and performance stats based on requirements
- Support the creation of new governance standards for the company
- Function as the main point of contact for our partners around governance materials and model stats, both live (zoom, in person) and async (email)
- Support deep model governance audits with prominent financial institutions
- Curate and improve our core governance docs (to reduce ad-hoc burden, increase efficiency, improve quality, etc)
- Guide more junior analysts that support the model governance domain
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GitHub / AWS ecosystem (e.g. S3, SageMaker)
- Technical MA (any STEM)
- Python at intermediate level
- Previous people management or technical leadership experience
