Requirements

  • Teaching or training qualification and/or minimum 5 years experience using Moodle in a teaching or training environment
  • Learning Design experience, especially for fully online, self-paced and facilitated courses
  • Experience using online learning design methods, such as ABC Learning Design
  • Familiarity with or willingness to engage on a daily basis with the wider Moodle community
  • The ability to thrive in a diverse, global environment and build strong, positive relationships with team members
  • The ability to work independently as well as be a strong team player who contributes to overall team goals and projects
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels

Responsibilities

  • Engaging with the Moodle community via Moodle Community Sites (Moodle.org), Moodle Academy and the Moodle Qualification program
  • Creating and maintaining free resources such as webinars, online courses, documentation and video tutorials
  • Collaborating closely with the Community Sites and Marketing teams to test, document and promote features of each Moodle release
  • Providing training and support materials for Moodle Partners for each new major release
  • Designing, maintaining, facilitating and updating Moodle Academy courses and programs for Educators and Administrators
  • Testing upgrades to Moodle Community sites and Moodle Academy and Moodle Qualifications
  • Supporting the Education Advisor responsible for qualification training and moderating with any administration tasks
  • Building and maintaining quality relationships with the Moodle HQ team and Moodle Community members
