Mortgage Closing Associate

Summary

Join Morty's Loan Production team as a detail-oriented and proactive individual responsible for managing a pipeline of mortgage loans from submission to closing. Collaborate with loan officers, lenders, and third parties to ensure seamless and timely closings. Provide transparent communication to loan officers and borrowers. Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, minimum two years of mortgage closing experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and a proactive, results-driven attitude. The ideal candidate is a self-starter excited to contribute to a fast-paced startup environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum two years of experience in a role focused on closing mortgages
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines without micromanagement
• Willing and able to learn quickly
• Self starter with a “No task is too big or small” attitude
• Results-driven and persistent
• Ability to stay calm and level-headed in stressful or frustrating circumstances

Responsibilities

• Manage a pipeline of active loans from submission to close, working with lenders and third parties to ensure deals close seamlessly and on-time
• Facilitate a transparent experience for loan officers and borrowers, with clear communication on late stage underwriting requests and the closing process
• Ensure the receipt and review of all final conditions for a timely closing
• Identify operational bottlenecks and pain points, and collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement short and long-term solutions
