MS Purview Specialist

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing and deploying solutions with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance platforms
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Purview, including data governance, compliance management, and risk assessment functionality
• Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob Storage
• Experience with data integration, ETL pipelines, and data modelling to structure and organise enterprise-wide data
• Understanding of data governance principles, including metadata management, data cataloguing, lineage tracking, and compliance frameworks

Responsibilities

• Design and Implement Solutions: Develop and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions for data cataloguing, classification, and governance across various data sources
• Data Integration: Integrate Microsoft Purview with diverse data platforms to establish seamless data lineage, metadata management, and governance workflows
• Policy Configuration: Configure and customise data classification, labelling, and sensitivity policies to ensure compliance with business standards and regulatory frameworks
• Collaboration: Work closely with data architects, analysts, and IT teams to map data sources and enforce governance best practices
• Monitoring and Optimisation: Maintain and optimise Purview services, ensuring alignment with business needs, security policies, and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications related to data governance, cloud security, or data engineering
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python to automate Purview configurations and data processes
• Experience with data visualisation tools, such as Power BI, to support reporting and analytics
