Join Great Minds, a mission-driven Public Benefit Corporation, as a Designer! You will be responsible for creating layouts, storyboards, graphics, and concepts for educational materials. Iterate on designs, explore prototypes, and contribute to art direction, illustration, and motion graphics. This remote, full-time position requires a portfolio showcasing prior work, 3+ years of design experience, fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, and a Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience. The salary range is $59,000-$65,000, but may vary based on several factors.

Requirements

• A portfolio or reel demonstrating prior work
• 3+ years of experience in a designer or video editing/creating role
• Fluency in the following Adobe Programs: InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects
• Fluency in designing for Powerpoint and Google Slides
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office and Google Documents
• Past experience with video production
• Ability to take criticism and feedback on work
• Interest in learning new processes and collaborating with colleagues, company-wide
• Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Content and Product to gain understanding of user needs, to ensure optimal product experience, and that expectations are met and exceeded
• Research user landscape, through a design lens
• Create prototypes for Content and Leadership to react to and to iterate from
• Iterate on approved prototypes and frameworks to execute designs for a product (exploring ways to make each instance unique and memorable, while adhering to established constraints)
• Collaborate with cross-organizational teams (e.g. Success, Digital Media Group, Publishing Services)
• Some art direction
• Illustration and photo retouching
• Photo research
• Motion graphics creation
• Storyboarding
• Collaborate with production designers to ensure templates have been vetted for use

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InCopy, PowerPoint, HTML and CSS
