Summary

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental or physical science, environmental policy, environmental planning, or a related field
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience, specifically including experience in managing and/or preparing NEPA EAs and EISs
Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the preparation of environmental impact assessments (i.e., NEPA Environmental Assessments [EAs], Environmental Impact Statements [EISs], and state-level impact assessments)
- Manage projects to meet client goals and expectations and foster positive client relationships
- Lead various aspects of projects such as tracking budgets and schedules, monitoring scopes, facilitating meetings, coordinating deliverables, and communicating with clients
- Provide working- to expert-level guidance related to compliance with environmental statutes, regulations, and executive orders
- Support the development of agency-specific NEPA programs, including developing standard operating procedures, guidelines, and training
- Lead consultations and public outreach with local, state, and federal resource management agencies
- Perform desktop-based research and report development and conduct occasional site visits
- Advise and mentor junior to mid-level staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Ideal candidates will have at least five years of experience in compliance with NEPA
- Ideal candidates will have project management experience, including developing project schedules and budgets and meeting client goals
- Ideal candidates will have experience with Federal, state, and local permitting for infrastructure projects
- Ideal candidates will have the background and technical understanding of cultural and historic resources, water quality, marine and ocean resources, or visual resources
Benefits
$80,000 - $120,000 a year
