Network Engineer

Summary

Requirements

• Strong understanding of computer networks, with a vendor-agnostic approach to routing and switching principles
• Experience with IP routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
• Significant experience managing cloud services
• Advanced skills in scripting languages for automation purposes
• Familiarity with tools like Ansible or similar automation platforms

Responsibilities

• Design and automate complex network infrastructures using zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Conduct advanced research and experimentation to identify and implement strategies for reducing network latency and optimizing network performance
• Manage and optimize cloud services from providers like AWS, GCP or AliCloud to ensure low latency and high availability
• Develop advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, Go, and other languages to automate complex network tasks and workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• CCIE or equivalent experience
• Experience with low-latency microwave networks and/or optical transmission systems
