Summary
Join our consulting team as a Network Security Architect for a long-term remote contract. You will conduct network security assessments for a client, analyzing their technical environment and designing robust security architectures. Key responsibilities include developing reference architectures, conducting technical assessments, developing implementation plans, and creating architecture segmentation strategies. You will collaborate with internal and client teams to enhance network security. This role requires extensive experience in network security and related technologies, along with strong analytical and reporting skills.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network security, network engineering, or cybersecurity consulting
- Expertise in assessing configurations across network and security devices (e.g., Cisco routers, NGFWs, load balancers, IDS/IPS)
- Deep understanding of network segmentation technologies and best practices for telecommunications networks, data centres, and service provider environments
- Hands-on experience with cloud security configurations in AWS, Azure, or GCP (e.g., VPCs, VNets)
- Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate technical findings into executive-level reports using PowerPoint and Excel
Responsibilities
- Develop reference architectures and network security blueprints based on assessments of the clientβs existing infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, security appliances, and public cloud configurations
- Conduct technical assessments of network security controls, identifying vulnerabilities and defining security improvements
- Develop roadmaps and implementation plans to execute network security strategies aligned with industry best practices
- Create and present architecture segmentation strategies tailored to client needs
- Review and analyze network security configurations across devices such as firewalls, routers, IDS/IPS, and other infrastructure
- Assess network segmentation strategies and provide recommendations based on leading practices for telecommunications networks
- Collaborate with internal and client security teams to enhance the security posture of telecommunications networks
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications preferred: CCNP Security, CISSP, CEH, GIAC, or equivalent
