Nurse Advice Line Triage RN

This role requires a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in a fast-paced setting (e.g., ED, Critical Care). A compact RN license and high-speed internet are mandatory. You'll work a flexible schedule, including two out of every three weekends. We provide a laptop and headset, paid training, and competitive hourly pay. Requirements

• Have or be willing to obtain a Compact RN license
• Live in/work from a Compact US state
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Nurse
• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced environment (i.e. ED, Critical Care, Surgical Services, Med/Surg, etc.)
• Have high-speed internet
• Be tech savvy, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and have no concerns typing
• Be available to work 2 of every 3 weekends & 1 weekday per week
• Have a compact license and live in that compact state
• Be comfortable with technology and accessing multiple applications remotely to perform documentation during calls
• Be able to type comfortably
• Be fluent in English
• Physically reside in the U.S. and be legally eligible to work for any employer
• Be able to complete the 3-week orientation and training
• Be available to work Saturday & Sunday on your team's required weekends; 2 of every 3 weekends
• Work holidays as required (rotation)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care remotely
• Work a minimum of 1 shift per weekday (Mon-Fri)
• Work 2 weekends or every 3 weeks, both Saturday and Sunday on those weekends with rotating times
• Complete a 3-week training program
• Have proven experience in a fast-paced, critical-thinking environment; ED, Critical Care, Surgical Services, etc
• Maintain a compact license and reside/work in that state
• Provide your own high-speed internet (only fiberoptic or coaxial cable internet is compatible with our remote call center technology)
• Maintain a HIPAA compliant workspace free from noise or distractions
• Utilize clients’ EMRs for charting and internal applications to perform daily job functions
• Follow instructions (verbal and written) and be comfortable with technology (tech savvy)
• Remain in good standing and ensure your home state license remains active
• Complete shift prep (minimum 30-minute paid time) before taking calls
• Complete remaining charting after calls before leaving for the day
• Handle stress and multitask when calls are coming in (minimum of 5+ calls per hour on weekdays, and much higher on weekends)
• Communicate with patients and families with empathy while also maintaining adherence to client protocols
• Maintain CEU’s as designated by the states you are answering calls in
• Attend any in-services, additional training on an as needed basis
• Pass background check and nurse licensing check
