Requirements

  • Have full Australian work rights
  • Be registered as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA or be eligible to obtain registration
  • Hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Possess a current driver’s license
  • Have a Police check and Working with Children check (or ability to obtain these before commencing work)
  • Be focused on person-centred, ethical interventions

Responsibilities

  • Further develop your knowledge and skills as an Occupational Therapist to support adults and children with a variety of presentations
  • Support clients with motor skills, ADL's, functional capacity assessments, and sensory disorders through to home modifications and prescriptions
  • Complete a 12-week Intensive Induction program with the Therapy Manager and Team Leaders
  • Learn from experienced supportive therapists
  • Maintain a reduced caseload for your first 4 months
  • Receive support from your Clinical Supervisor who will assist in client sessions for your first 12 months
  • Participate in quarterly professional development with the team of Occupational Therapists
  • Attend monthly coaching sessions with Clinic mentors
  • Work with an allocated buddy for support
  • Attend weekly clinical 1:1 supervision for your initial 4 months, progressing to fortnightly and monthly supervision
  • Participate in regular catch ups and training with your new graduate team
  • Observe experienced clinicians from all disciplines in therapy sessions
  • Access the online Learning and training library
  • Receive ongoing and consistent supervision, training and support from the team of Occupational Therapists and the broader allied health team
