Onboarding Accountant

Summary

Join Collective as an Onboarding Accountant and play a key role in helping solopreneurs succeed. You will onboard members onto Collective's accounting platform, providing essential accounting support and guidance. This involves conducting daily video calls, creating financial statements, explaining complex topics clearly, and assisting with payroll. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of accounting experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary, 3-4 month, full-time remote position offering a competitive monthly salary and a supportive team culture. Requirements

• Your passion for helping our members and your ability to thrive in a customer centric role
• Minimum 5+ years experience in accounting, creating financial statements
• Customer service oriented, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks
• Write and talk like a seasoned professional
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Conduct video Zoom calls with members everyday (~4-5 hours per day)
• Use your 5+ years of accounting expertise to create P&L reports and Balance Sheet Statements for members who come to you with mixed business and personal accounts
• Breakdown complex technical topics in layman terms for our members
• Help members run first payroll and understand payroll taxes
• Passion for supporting entrepreneurs and the self-employed

Preferred Qualifications

• Bonus points for CPAs
• Xero, QuickBooks Online, Gusto, ADP, or equivalent accounting and payroll software
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes and experience with payroll migrations
