Summary
Join Monash University Online as an Online Learning Adviser (OLA) and contribute to the success of students pursuing online degrees in Digital Communications. This remote position offers flexible hours and a 3-week paid training course to equip you with best practices for engaging and supporting online learners. As an OLA, you will deliver academic content, facilitate learning activities, assess student work, and provide feedback, all while leveraging your expertise in Digital Communications and passion for online education.
Requirements
- We are looking for OLAs to teach a variety of units across the Digital Communications discipline
- We are looking for candidates who have at least 5 years experience in their field of Digital Communications with an Arts background
- You will hold a minimum of Masters level qualification in Communications or related Arts discipline (eg. politics, writing, social sciences, economics, cultural studies, media)
- You have minimum of 5 years relevant industry experienceย in Communications
- You are motivated by student success and passionate about online learning
- You are a passionate and clear communicator
- You have strong presentation skills and the ability to maintain an engaging and positive online presence
- You are proactive and organised
- You thrive in a remote working environment
Responsibilities
- Providing an exceptional student experience through the delivery of academic content developed by our partner academics and our learning design team
- Facilitating learning activities that engage and support student learning
- Undertaking assessment tasks (including moderation, marking, and feedback) as well as processing and submitting results according to set timelines
- Online Learning Advisers are not required to establish curriculum, design learning activities, schedule learning and teaching, set assessments or develop marking schemes
