Summary

Join QUT Online as an Online Learning Adviser (OLA) and make a positive impact on student learning. This 100% remote role offers flexible hours and a paid training course. As an OLA, you'll deliver academic content, facilitate learning activities, and assess student work. You'll need a Graduate Certificate and Master's degree in Career Development & Counselling, plus 5+ years of experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about student success, a strong communicator, and thrives in a remote environment. Requirements

  • Hold a minimum of Graduate Certificate in Career Development & Counselling - must be recognised as a specialist qualification by CICA
  • Hold a Master of Education (Career Development and Counselling Specialisation) or similar
  • 5 + years experience running career counselling/development sessions in a one on one environment, preferably across a range of client cohorts (Primary, Secondary, Higher Ed and Community)
  • Knowledge of the Australian education system or ability to acquire this in timely manner
  • High level of spoken and written English
  • Be motivated by student success and passionate about online learning
  • Be a passionate and clear communicator
  • Have strong presentation skills and the ability to maintain an engaging and positive online presence
  • Be proactive and organised
  • Thrive in a remote working environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exceptional student experience through the delivery of academic content developed by our partner academics and our learning design team
  • Facilitate learning activities that engage and support student learning
  • Undertake assessment tasks (including moderation, marking, and feedback) as well as processing and submitting results according to set timelines
