Online Teacher

Join Babbel and become an Online German Teacher (Freelancer) for immigrants seeking integration into Germany. Requirements

• A valid DAF teaching certificate
• Proven experience with getting students to pass the B1 exam
• German & English language skills (native proficiency)
• Previous online teaching experience teaching large groups of students
• Knowledge of the CEFR framework
• Familiarity with the Babbel app
• Experience in the field of language learning and familiarity with the digital self-study market
• A tax number for freelance work (not necessarily issued by the German authorities)

Responsibilities

• Teach the Intensive German Course (A1-B1 level)
• Engage in introductory calls with prospective learners to provide guidance on the program and encourage them to join a course
• Support with curriculum feedback and provide guidance on in-class activities
• Provide between 10-20h of availability per week

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of other languages is a strong plus (Ukrainian, Arabic)
• Knowledge of migration/integration courses in Germany
• Previous experience in a fast-paced start-up environment is a strong plus
• A university degree in German Teaching, Education, Linguistics, or a related field
• A passion for languages and cultures
