Summary

Join Waymo, a leading autonomous driving technology company, as a Compliance Assurance and Audit Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring the organization's adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves planning and executing internal, vendor, and partner audits, identifying risks, recommending corrective actions, and monitoring compliance. The position requires significant travel (up to 50%). You will collaborate with partners to address compliance issues and provide guidance on best practices. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Safety, or a related field
• 5 years experience in compliance, auditing, or a related role
• Strong knowledge of auditing principles, practices, and standards
• Experience in project management
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of partners to assess their adherence to agreements, legal requirements, and ethical guidelines
• Collaborate with partners to address compliance or conformance issues and implement corrective action plans
• Provide guidance to partners on conformance with best practices and regulatory changes
• Conduct due diligence and risk assessments of potential and existing vendors to ensure compliance with organizational standards, contract requirements, and regulatory requirements
• Plan and perform vendor audits to evaluate their compliance with contractual obligations
• Review vendor documentation, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with company requirements
• Monitor vendor performance and compliance through ongoing assessments and reporting
• Develop and execute internal audit plans to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance programs
• Conduct audits to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes
• Identify internal control weaknesses, compliance gaps, and areas for process improvement
• Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations
• Follow up on audit findings to ensure implementation of corrective actions
• Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Provide training and support to staff on compliance matters and best practices
• Investigate and resolve compliance-related issues
• Maintain accurate records of audits, findings, and corrective actions

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as ISO Auditor or other similar certifications
• Experience in risk management and compliance program development
• Experience conducting internal, vendor, and partner audits
