Summary

The job is a Full-time remote position for an oral historian who will conduct oral history interviews, edit and deliver recordings, tag them with metadata, and make them accessible to researchers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing and conducting oral history interviews
• Expertise in digital formatting for preservation, cataloging, and assigning metadata in digital archives

Responsibilities

• Conduct oral history interviews with participants in recent conflicts and notable Airmen
• Deliver cataloged recordings in a digital format, ensuring all recordings are properly edited and complete
• Tag recordings with appropriate metadata for easy retrieval and ensure interviews are properly cataloged and stored digitally
• Make interviews accessible to researchers and future scholars

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in history, archival science, or library science
