Requirements

• Have 2–5 years of experience in OSP engineering for telecom construction projects
• Possess advanced knowledge of OSP design, construction methods, and materials
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Be proficient in AutoCAD, GIS, MicroStation, or other engineering-related software
• Have experience with permitting processes, regulatory compliance, and construction management
• Possess knowledge of industry NESC, NEC standards, and regulations related to fiber optic networks
• Be able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and design of fiber optic networks, including the selection of appropriate cable types, sizes, and routing
• Determine the best pathways for cable placement and inform the designer of any roadblocks while identifying other utilities that may be in conflict
• Conduct surveys of existing infrastructure to identify the best locations for the new cables & equipment and to ensure the overall success of the fiber optic network
• Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards during construction
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to OSP Engineer I team members
• Test and troubleshoot fiber optic network issues, and resolve any problems in a timely manner
• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure the timely installation and maintenance of fiber optic infrastructure
