Requirements
- Must have US or SA substance abuse centre experience in the same or similar role (NOT NEGOTIABLE)
- Soft Skills: Compassionate and patient phone skills
- Communication: Excellent English communication skills are mandatory (English as a first language preferred). Must possess strong conversational fluency, comprehension, and clear accent
- Skills: Proficient in basic computer operations including Microsoft Outlook and Word
- Critical Thinking: Critical thinking skills are essential, particularly when interpreting insurance details and making informed decisions
Responsibilities
- Communicates with family members and potential clients, informing about patient care expectations and necessary personal items/belongings for patients to bring with them upon admission
- Gathers financial and insurance information from the client/fiduciary in a prompt and secure fashion
- Communicates effectively with the billing company
- Completes phone intake screenings with potential clients and uploads results into EHR
- Coordinates with medical and clinical staff to assess incoming clients
- Meets with families and prospective clients to accurately describe the program and services we offer
- Follows Admissions Process as directed for step-by-step detail
- Completes all necessary paperwork prior to a client intake as outlined in the Admissions Process
- Treats clients with dignity and respect and communicates in a non-judgmental manner
- Assists with client transport as necessary
