Summary

Join Marigold Health as a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Peer Recovery Provider/Supervisor in Washington, D.C.! This remote role (up to 10 hours/week) involves providing clinical oversight to peer recovery specialists, ensuring compliance with D.C. Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) standards, and handling insurance billing. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary licensure, experience, and training. Responsibilities include supervision, compliance, collaboration with leadership, and billing. The position requires specific licensure, experience in SUD treatment, and knowledge of billing processes. A competitive hourly rate will be determined.

Requirements

  • Must hold an active and unrestricted license in Washington, D.C., as one of the following: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Certified Addiction Counselor (LCAC)
  • At least 2 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment or recovery services
  • Demonstrated experience supervising peer recovery specialists
  • Familiarity with D.C. DBH rules and credentialing requirements for SUD peer recovery services
  • Knowledge of billing processes for Medicaid and other insurance providers
  • Strong understanding of peer recovery principles and best practices
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to mentor and support peer recovery specialists effectively

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and oversight to peer recovery specialists’ program requirements, ensuring adherence to D.C. DBH standards and ethical guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to SUD peer recovery services
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to enhance peer recovery service delivery to include compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well assist in developing best practices
  • Serve as the credentialed provider to bill insurance claims for peer recovery services

Preferred Qualifications

Certification as a Certified Peer Specialist Supervisor (or equivalent)
