Summary

Join our team as an experienced PACS Administrator Consultant to provide expert guidance and support for our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Enterprise Imaging workflows. You will optimize imaging workflows, ensure system reliability, integrate AI-driven imaging solutions, and enhance interoperability. This role demands extensive experience with DICOM routers, dictation systems, and PACS integrations across multiple modalities. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in radiology IT, clinical workflow optimization, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for PACS administration, system integration, security and compliance, and training and stakeholder collaboration. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of PACS administration experience in a large healthcare setting or as a consultant
  • Strong expertise in PACS/RIS administration, DICOM routers, HL7/FHIR interoperability, and VNA systems
  • Experience with enterprise imaging workflows, AI-driven radiology tools, and advanced dictation systems
  • Proficiency in managing 3D imaging, Breast MRI CAD, and other imaging support systems
  • Hands-on experience with PACS migrations, cloud-based imaging solutions, and disaster recovery planning
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level support, configuration, and administration of PACS, RIS (Radiology Information System), VNA (Vendor Neutral Archive), and DICOM routers
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of imaging systems for seamless clinical operations
  • Manage storage lifecycle, data migration, and retention policies to support Enterprise Imaging workflows
  • Oversee dictation systems integration and optimization for radiologists' workflow efficiency
  • Support advanced imaging support systems, including 3D imaging, Breast MRI CAD, and AI-assisted imaging solutions
  • Facilitate the integration of PACS with enterprise imaging systems, AI applications, EHRs (Electronic Health Records), and dictation systems
  • Ensure seamless DICOM, HL7, and FHIR interoperability across all radiology IT systems
  • Support multi-vendor integrations for diagnostic imaging workflows and specialty applications
  • Ensure PACS and imaging systems comply with HIPAA, DICOM, FDA, AAPM/ACR, and Joint Commission standards
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement data protection strategies, access controls, and disaster recovery plans
  • Conduct system audits and compliance checks to align with the clients governance policies
  • Train and mentor radiologists, technologists, and IT staff on PACS workflows, dictation systems, and AI applications
  • Act as a liaison between clinical teams, IT departments, and third-party vendors to optimize enterprise imaging solutions
  • Provide consultative expertise to improve imaging workflows, system efficiency, and compliance adherence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GE Centricity, Agfa, Sectra, Visage, or similar PACS/EHR systems
  • Certifications such as CIIP (Certified Imaging Informatics Professional) or PACS Administrator Certification (PARCA)
