Summary

Requirements

  • Physician (MD/DO) with over 5 years of post-residency experience
  • Board certified in palliative medicine
  • Extensive experience in palliative care, particularly within an oncology setting
  • Proven experience in project or program development and management
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and external partners
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of initiatives that drive value and improve patient outcomes
  • Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and needs

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic support to the overall direction and growth of the Cancer Center
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives that enhance patient care and satisfaction
  • Assist in overseeing the quality of care services, ensuring adherence to best practices and continuous improvement
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Cancer Center
  • Provide specialized palliative care to cancer patients, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care plans
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, patients, and families, to ensure integrated and patient-centered care
  • Develop and deliver educational sessions for healthcare professionals and staff on palliative care best practices and new developments
  • Utilize data analytics to assess program performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions. Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent the Cancer Center at conferences, seminars, and industry events, fostering connections and sharing expertise in palliative care
  • Provide clinical oversight and supervision to other Cancer Center clinicians, when necessary
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the mission and goals of the Cancer Center
