Palliative Care Physician / Head of Palliative Care

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Palliative Care Physician who is committed to improving the quality of life for cancer patients, providing compassionate care, and contributing to the continuous enhancement and oversight of our Cancer Center specialty program.

Requirements

• Physician (MD/DO) with over 5 years of post-residency experience
• Board certified in palliative medicine
• Extensive experience in palliative care, particularly within an oncology setting
• Proven experience in project or program development and management
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and external partners

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic input to support the overall direction and growth of the Cancer Center
• Assist in overseeing the quality of care services, ensuring adherence to best practices and continuous improvement
• Serve as a thought leader in palliative care and cancer support, contributing to the development of clinical guidelines, protocols, and educational materials
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Cancer Center
• Provide specialized palliative care to cancer patients, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care plans
• Develop and deliver educational sessions for healthcare professionals and staff on palliative care best practices and new developments
• Utilize data analytics to assess program performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions
• Represent the Cancer Center at conferences, seminars, and industry events, fostering connections and sharing expertise in palliative care
• Provide clinical oversight and supervision to other Cancer Center clinicians, when necessary
