Summary

Join ConnectOS, a top-rated Philippines employer, and work as an Estate Planning Paralegal for a client-centric US law firm. This is a 4-hour night shift position (9:00 PM - 1:00 AM PHT). You will draft legal documents using WealthCounsel, collaborate with attorneys on estate planning strategies, maintain client records in Clio, and manage attorney schedules. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certification, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and strong proficiency in WealthCounsel and Clio. A JD degree is preferred. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certification from an accredited institution
  • 3-5 years of experience as an estate planning paralegal in a US law firm
  • Strong proficiency in WealthCounsel software and Clio practice management software
  • Drafting experience with WealthCounsel, both WealthDocs and BusinessDocs preferred, Wealthdocs a must
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing estate planning documents
  • Familiarity with current estate planning laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Drafting Documents: Prepare wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other legal documents using WealthCounsel platform
  • Estate Planning: Collaborate with attorneys to assess clients' estate planning needs and provide recommendations, including the establishment of trusts, asset protection strategies, and healthcare directives
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and accurate client records, ensuring all documents and communication are properly documented and easily accessible in Clio legal software
  • Scheduling and Calendar Management: Manage attorney schedules, including court dates, client meetings, and deadlines, to ensure efficient time management and case progression
  • Ability to proofread and format MS Word documents for spelling, grammatical, and other formatting errors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Clio legal software preferred; ability to enter own time and information and invoice clients using that system
  • JD degree is preferred, and candidates with a JD are encouraged to apply
