Summary

Join Guardant Health as a Pathology Genomic Science Liaison (PGSL), Oncology to provide expert scientific and technical support to pathologists. Educate academic and community pathologists about Guardant Health’s tissue testing solutions, sharing the latest clinical data and interpreting real-world test results. Act as a bridge between Medical Affairs and the Commercial team, building strong partnerships with pathology groups. Promote understanding of tissue testing, molecular profiling, and liquid biopsy. Improve patient care by being proactive, collaborative, and curious. This fully remote position reports to a Field Medical Director and requires regular business hours and on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Requires a university degree and typically 8 years of related experience; 6 years and a Master’s degree; 3 years and a PhD; or PharmD/MD
  • Terminal degree in a scientific field of study (Genetic Counselor, NP/PA, Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or academic equivalent such as Associate Professor position)
  • Experience working with pathologists to build consensus around new products and/or services
  • Track record of independent presentation at major academic centers or within the community setting

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical, scientific and technical expertise to ensure professional and credible relationships with key community and academics pathologists to promote understanding and utility of our novel diagnostic technologies, via virtual engagements
  • Be a resource for community pathologists to evaluate and provide guidance on interpretation of real-world patient test reports
  • Facilitate educational growth and understanding through the presentation of scientific content to Pathologists and their staff, via virtual technologies
  • Facilitate medical and scientific discussions to elicit feedback on current and future products and share with our internal commercial and research divisions
  • Attend regional and national conferences, if necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in the introduction of a novel new clinical product is highly desired
  • Applies advanced knowledge of the biotechnology, diagnostics and pharmaceutical industry to advance the medical and scientific objectives our diagnostic company
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, and other software skills; Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining a strong teamwork ethic
  • Multi-dimensional in abilities to work on simultaneous tasks, work cross-team and at different levels of the organization, whether internal or external relationships to the organization
  • Self-directed, intrinsically motivated, flexible to changes in an ever-changing dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, time management skills and personal initiative
  • Exceptional human relations skills to coordinate the accomplishment of tasks through other people
  • Ability to elicit and answer clinical questions in groups ranging from individuals to larger didactic roundtables and meetings

Benefits

  • Hybrid Work Model : At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,200 to $247,800
