Board certification in Pathology and active practice required

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reviews of medical records pertaining to pathology to address client inquiries using appropriate criteria and guidelines
• Ensure that determinations are clear, concise, and supported by sufficient documentation
• Identify and apply current clinical guidelines, evidence-based resources, and peer-reviewed literature to support objective decision-making in assessments
• Provide timely reports that include any relevant criteria used during the review process
• Complete reviews and return cases by specified deadlines
• Perform follow-up communications as required based on case-specific needs
• Maintain active licensure and certifications essential for fulfilling the job requirements
• Engage in mandatory training and orientation sessions
• Address quality assurance issues and participate in audits or further reviews as necessary
