Payment Integrity Data Mining Analyst

Summary

Join Oscar's Payment Integrity team as a Data Mining Analyst! You'll analyze claims data to identify incorrect payments, supporting quality control for internally and externally identified errors. This role involves utilizing data analysis skills to develop accurate analyses and working with the team to identify opportunities for reducing incorrect payments. You'll report to the Senior Manager, Payment Integrity. The position offers a blended work culture with remote options, depending on location. Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in healthcare
• 2+ years of experience working with large data sets using excel or a database language

Responsibilities

• Analyze and investigate claims data
• Support quality review claim and concept findings from internal and external partners regarding adverse claim outcomes
• Utilize data analysis skills and tools to develop accurate, quantitative analyses of issues
• Work with the team to identify thematic areas of opportunity to reduce incorrect payments
• Mediate errors with key stakeholders
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Some coding experience or database language exposure
• 2+ years of related work experience in claims processing, payment integrity or similar
