Summary

Join Ramboll as our new Payroll Administrator and assist the team in calculating and auditing payroll for our employees. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, maintains records, and guarantees compliance. Responsibilities include calculating payroll, ensuring timely payments, updating payroll information, calculating payroll taxes, auditing employee taxes, reviewing tax changes, generating reports, preparing checks, addressing employee queries, collaborating with HR and finance, and ensuring legal compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of payroll experience, strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP), familiarity with labor and tax laws, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and good communication skills. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are acceptable, with flexible east coast locations preferred. Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience performing payroll functions
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, SAP)
  • Familiarity with labor and tax laws
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Knowledge and understanding of multiple state taxation

Responsibilities

  • Assist with calculating the organizationโ€™s payroll on a regular basis (e.g., weekly, bi-weekly) using ADP Workforce Now
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions
  • Maintain and update payroll information, including employee records and payroll adjustments
  • Calculate payroll taxes and ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Audit employee local and state taxes for accuracy
  • Review and approve employee tax changes
  • Review changes to employee work and home address to ensure proper employee taxing
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports and statements
  • Prepare manual checks and wire requests as needed
  • Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure proper integration of payroll data
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, tax, and labor laws
  • Assist in the preparation of financial audits related to payroll
