As a Global Payroll Implementation Manager, you will lead the successful implementation of clients onto the global payroll system. You will collaborate with onboarding teams and clients, manage project documentation, and ensure alignment with internal and external teams. The role requires independent project management, defining client payroll processes, and maintaining detailed documentation. You will serve as the primary payroll contact, ensuring project completion and compliance with local and international laws. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in global payroll implementation and 5+ years of experience in Japanese payroll operations
- Experience with various payroll systems and software
- Strong knowledge of Japanese payroll processes and compliance
- Fluency in Japanese and English
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with onboarding teams and clients, organize kickoff meetings, and implement the global payroll system in various countries
- Manage project documentation and develop and maintain plans for successful deployment
- Participate in review calls with internal and external teams to ensure coordination and execution of the project stream
- Independently manage project scope and timelines in a dynamic environment
- Define client payroll processes and establish payroll and data requirements
- Maintain detailed documentation, such as project plans and status reports
- Configure interfaces and reports to ensure successful parallel and live payroll implementation
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll matters, collaborating with clients to confirm project completion and document specific needs
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of the global payroll system, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery
- Gather necessary payroll requirements from clients and guide the technical aspects
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to meet payroll needs in compliance with regional and international laws
- Oversee data migration from legacy systems to the new payroll system, ensuring accuracy and security
- Develop a test plan to identify and resolve issues for a smooth transition
- Implement a change management strategy to ensure a smooth transition for employees and HR teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
