PCS Control Engineer

Join us in empowering change as a PCS Control Engineer - APAC at Energy Vault, where you will lead the implementation, validation tests, and troubleshooting of battery storage systems, document processes, and create technical documents.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with focus on Power systems and Power Electronics
• Deep technical knowledge of grid-forming inverters acquired from either research or field experience
• Knowledge of battery energy storage or utility scale solar grid integration
• Experience working on PSCAD, PSS/E and other power system modeling software
• Experience with IEC 61131-3 programming, preferably Simatic S7 PLC series
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
• Familiarity with relevant industry and standards such as UL 1741 SA, IEEE 1547, IEEE 2800, and ISO requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead the PCS and Power Plant Controller (PPC) implementation, validation tests and troubleshooting of the battery storage system
• Work with PCS vendors and customers to determine system requirements and verify our solution will meet and exceed our customer’s expectations
• Perform in-depth evaluation of the implemented control system as per project requirements
• Prepare and maintain PCS solution technical documents such as all technical design philosophy, calculations, datasheets, diagrams, and layouts
