Join Avalere Health as their People (HR) Director, a senior leadership role responsible for aligning people strategies with business goals and ensuring legal compliance. You will lead a team of People Partners, collaborate with Centers of Excellence, and act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership. This role involves developing and implementing a People Plan for the US Marketing business unit, driving employee engagement, and overseeing talent management. You will also manage employee relations, ensuring legal compliance, and leading change initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in senior People Partnering roles, strong stakeholder management skills, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Senior People Partnering role working in a fast-paced, matrixed and continuously changing environment, while handling multiple priorities simultaneously and navigate through complexity
- Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence the most senior leaders, providing strategic People advice and driving results, while being able to influence and build relationships with all employees
- Strong ability to work effectively with key Group partners including People Operations, Talent, and Learning teams to deliver integrated People solutions
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align People initiatives with business objectives
- Expertise in leading and managing organizational change, with a focus on employee engagement and legal compliance
- Commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and guide People strategies
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage People data and metrics to inform decision-making.to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts and adjust strategies as needed
- Experience of working in global business with a strong understanding of US employment laws
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a People team, fostering collaboration and delivering business impact
- Formal HR certifications are preferred but not essential
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and partner closely with senior leadership to understand business challenges and develop integrated People strategies, through a People Plan that aligns with business goals and legal requirements
- Serve as trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights on organizational design, workforce planning, DE&I and talent development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including senior leaders, department heads, and external partners
- Act as a liaison between People and the business, ensuring that the needs of stakeholders are understood and addressed in People initiatives
- Work with COEs to drive the successful implementation of people-related strategies and initiatives
- Partner with People Operations to develop and track key People metrics such as turnover, retention, employee engagement, and diversity
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership through the People Plan on the effectiveness of People strategies, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of People Partners, ensuring their work aligns with business needs and overall People strategy
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the People Partner team and across the broader People function
- Work with People Operations to ensure People processes are efficient, legally compliant, and aligned with business objectives
- This includes optimizing employee lifecycle management, data integrity, and People technology systems
- Partner with the Talent team to support recruiting efforts that attract top talent aligned with business needs, while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment regulations
- Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to create and implement leadership development programs, career progression plans, and continuous learning initiatives for employees at all levels
- Oversee talent management strategies in collaboration with the Learning team, ensuring the development of robust succession plans and high-potential employee programs
- Partner with managers and business leaders to ensure that performance management systems are driving employee development, accountability, and business results
- Work with the COEs to design and implement employee engagement initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture
- Leverage employee engagement surveys (Your Voice) feedback to develop action in the People Plan that address employee concerns and drive workplace satisfaction
- Lead and manage change initiatives ensuring effective communication and support for employees through organizational changes
- Provide guidance and tools to People Partners and business leaders for managing resistance and ensuring successful adoption of new processes, systems, or structures
- Oversee employee relations matters, ensuring that investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolutions are managed in accordance with local employment laws
- Guide People Partners in resolving workplace conflicts and fostering a fair, compliant, and equitable work environment
- Ensure that People policies and practices are regularly updated to comply with changing legal and regulatory requirements, partnering with People Operations
