Requirements
- At least 5 years of directly applicable experience in Human Resources as a business partner, consultant or generalist
- Resilience, flexibility and the ability to work quickly and effectively cross-functionally
- Resourceful and curious to solve problems that you have not encountered before - a strong, fast, and adaptable learner
- Excellent judgment and superior emotional intelligence
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proven track record of working with, coaching, and influencing senior leaders
- Prior experience managing the planning, development, implementation, and administration of People Team Programs
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws
- Bachelor's degree required with a preference for an advanced degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Psychology, or other related fields of study
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of Extendβs internal communication calendar and strategies related to key People programs, ensuring employees across all levels are informed, engaged and aligned with changes to policies, procedures, upcoming news, and key initiatives
- In partnership with leadership and the People team, create and manage content for internal channels (emails, Slack, All Hands, manager meetings, etc.) to ensure clear, engaging and consistent messaging and alignment companywide
- Manage all communication efforts and proactively address potential communication challenges
- Support day-to-day People functions, including onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, and offboarding processes
- Serve as a liaison for managers to kick off recruitment efforts and ensure adherence to external branding and process best practices
- Provide guidance on performance management, employee relations, and talent development to ensure fair, consistent, and effective practices, as well as positively impact teams and the company more broadly
- Continuously analyze and recommend solutions on People Team processes. In particular, proactively identify issues and solutions to continuously improve People infrastructure, policies, and processes
- Work closely with managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention, embracing corporate values and culture to support continued growth and success
- Maintain People records and required compliance documentation
- Cross-functionally collaborate with teams and executives to plan, implement and execute successful on-site(s)
- Oversee all learning and development programming (including Mento and LinkedIn Learning, among others)
Preferred Qualifications
Ideally, experience working in a high volume, fast-paced start-up or large organization environment
