Summary

Core responsibilities include prospecting and relationship building, sales development, expanding accounts, client retention and support, efficient inquiry management, competitive insights analysis, file management, home evaluations, documentation and correspondence, client communication, maintaining confidentiality and quality, reporting and accountability, and staying informed on market trends. The ideal candidate will possess a valid AMF license, a RIBO license (or the ability to obtain one within a year), and at least 3 years of experience in personal lines, automobile, and property insurance. Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software. Fluency in English and French is required. Requirements

  • A valid AMF license is required
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in personal lines, automobile, and property insurance
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and project management skills to handle competing priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Broker Management System(s), and Company portals
  • Must be fluent in both English and French to support our national client base
  • Availability to work evenings as needed

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Relationship Building: Research, qualify, and engage with potential clients to drive sales growth. Respond to inquiries, assess client needs, and provide tailored solutions to resolve issues and offer expert guidance
  • Sales Development: Drive sales by building strong relationships with prospects. Engage through inbound calls, follow up on expired policies, re-quote from previous years, and reach out to leads from marketing campaigns, and online sources
  • Expanding Accounts: Identify opportunities within existing accounts to increase sales. Develop tailored contact strategies, introduce new products and services, and maintain close communication with insurance underwriters to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Client Retention & Support: Strengthen relationships with current members and accounts by offering exceptional support, providing valuable information, and identifying new opportunities for growth
  • Efficient Inquiry Management: Handle inbound calls, process quotes, update client information, and assess risks in line with underwriting standards. Provide clear answers to any account-related questions
  • Competitive Insights: Monitor client reactions to competing products and share insights with management. Evaluate our products and suggest potential improvements to stay ahead in the market
  • File Management: Process changes and ensure proper documentation for follow-up actions
  • Home Evaluation: Perform home evaluations and input calculations accurately into the system to support quotes and insurance offerings
  • Documentation & Correspondence: Prepare clear and professional correspondence and documents as required to support client needs
  • Client Communication: Maintain an up-to-date BMS base, ensuring timely follow-up on all client interactions and ensuring excellent service at every touchpoint
  • Confidentiality & Quality: Deliver exceptional service while adhering to confidentiality standards, safeguarding company operations, and ensuring compliance with established procedures
  • Reporting & Accountability: Keep accurate records of quotes, sales, and other key metrics for monthly reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Market Knowledge: Stay informed on the latest underwriting guidelines and market trends to provide relevant, up-to-date solutions to clients
  • Additional Responsibilities: Take on additional tasks as required, bringing your expertise and adaptability to the role

Preferred Qualifications

RIBO license is preferred or the ability to obtain it within one year
