Summary

Join SamaCare as a Pharma Operations Associate III and play a critical role in supporting the prior authorization process for clients. You will engage with insurance companies, platform users, and internal teams to ensure efficient and accurate handling of inbound support requests. Responsibilities include addressing client tickets, prioritizing urgent issues, contacting insurance companies, serving as a liaison between clients and customers, sharing updates, collaborating with the team to meet targets, monitoring PA status, handling live chats and helpdesk tickets, contributing to process improvement, and maintaining high client satisfaction. This role requires 1–2+ years of customer-facing experience, a healthcare background, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to analyze complex data. An associate degree or relevant experience is preferred, and experience in a startup environment is a plus. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $21-$22.

Requirements

  • 1–2+ years of experience in customer-facing roles, with a proven commitment to delivering exceptional service
  • Background in healthcare, health insurance, billing, or prior authorizations required
  • Ability to maintain a strong sense of urgency and adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong strategic thinking and sound decision-making capabilities
  • Proficient in analyzing complex data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with solid computer and technical application proficiency
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities and support process improvement efforts

Responsibilities

  • Address and manage inbound client tickets in a timely, organized, and efficient manner
  • Prioritize and escalate urgent issues as needed to ensure prompt resolution
  • Contact insurance companies on behalf of clients to facilitate the prior authorization (PA) process
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and customers to collect necessary documentation or information for PA progression
  • Share relevant updates from insurance companies with clients to maintain transparency and support case progression
  • Work collaboratively within a team to meet and exceed targets for prior authorization resolution rates, approval rates, and turnaround times per drug
  • Monitor and track PA status updates, ensuring accurate and timely case documentation
  • Handle inbound live chats and daily helpdesk tickets from clients, providing professional and prompt support
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement by identifying inefficiencies and sharing feedback with leadership
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through clear communication, responsiveness, and issue resolution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or relevant experience preferred
  • Experience working in a startup environment is a plus
