Summary
Join Allivet, a leading pet pharmacy, as the Leader of Pharmacy Verification! Lead a team of pharmacists and technicians, developing and implementing medication verification processes compliant with federal and state regulations. Requirements
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) license in good standing
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or online pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in pharmacy management systems and computer applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Passion for pet health and well-being
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to: Travel up to 5% to sites beyond the corporate office
- Perform light work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity
- Able to operate standard office/computer equipment
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive medication verification processes in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of medication orders, prescriptions, and dispensing
- Oversee the verification activities of pharmacy staff, including training and performance evaluations
- Maintain a high level of compliance with regulatory requirements related to medication dispensing
- Develop, implement, and monitor pharmacy policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and safety
- Stay up to date on industry best practices and implement them within the pharmacy
- Develop KPI to track performance, identify trends and provide insight into process improvements
- Continuously work toward process and performance improvements
- Provide leadership and direction to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of verification services
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ Previous supervisory experience
- Experience in Pet Health Industry
- Experience with ecommerce
