Summary
Join the DGPT as a Remote 1099 Independent Contractor Photography Editor! This event-based contract (February-October) requires remote photo editing for our elite disc golf tournaments across North America and Europe. You will be responsible for sorting, selecting, color correcting, and cropping images according to DGPT specifications. The role demands proficiency in photo editing software, a strong understanding of disc golf, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Compensation ranges from $750-$1250 per event, based on a daily rate. The ideal candidate possesses a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Requirements
- Have an up-to-date computer capable of handling long editing sessions
- Possess a fast processor, enough RAM, and a solid graphics card
- Have a stable high-speed internet connection with high download speeds (100 Mbps)
- Have a photography or photo editing background
- Possess a general understanding of disc golf and knowledge of the players
Responsibilities
- Be available during event days (3-day, 4-day, and 5-day events)
- Work 8-10 hour event days
- Remotely edit images for the lead DGPT photographer via remote desktop access
- Sort, select, color, and crop images throughout the event day
- Prioritize images of leaders from each round in each division & Champions
- Provide images of round leaders from MPO and FPO before each round ends to the social media team
- Upload images to the leaderβs folder in Google Drive
- Put together images of the 4 players who played on the Jomez card each round and upload them to a specific folder in Google Drive
- Export selected images with specific file names (as directed by DGPT Photography department)
- Maintain an organized file structure during exporting to the Hard Drive
- Upload images to both company Google Drive and the DGPT Smug Mug
- Do base organization for end-of-season needs (Trading cards, Calendars, Posters)
- Sort images by BNW, Motion, and Best of Best
