Summary
Join Smartdesc as a PIM Data Steward & QA, a 12-month contract role based remotely within the UK, offering up to £400 per day (contractor) or £65,000 PAYE. You will be responsible for ensuring the completeness, quality, and accuracy of product data across multiple systems and regions. This critical role involves data validation, stewardship, problem-solving, stakeholder collaboration, and reporting. The ideal candidate possesses extensive data management experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities within an ecommerce environment. Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with data management principles and data integrity concepts
- Advanced skills in Excel, and other data tools to maintain and manage data inputs and outputs. This includes dashboard creation
- Familiarity with PIM, and other data management systems
- Ability to manage and understand the complete lifecycle of product data from creation to launch
- Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies or gaps in data
- Effective communication with both business and technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity in data-related discussions
- Experience working in an ecommerce environment, especially with platforms that serve multiple countries and markets
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all mandatory product data across core systems is complete, accurate, and up to date. Ensuring QA process is followed across ecommerce platforms. This includes PIM
- Coordinate with data owners to correct discrepancies in data and ensure consistency across systems
- Identify areas where data quality can be improved and work with various teams to implement solutions
- Communicate with stakeholders to clarify data requests and address any data-related issues, ensuring alignment with launch schedules
- Create and manage detailed reports on product data status and product launch progress
